What it costs

Three shapes of job, and what each one runs.

Plumbing splits cleanly into three kinds of work. These are typical 2026 regional ranges, so you know the scale before you call.

$150 - $850per visit

  • Price agreed before the work starts, not after
  • Camera on any blockage so the cause is seen, not guessed

Project

Repipe or sewer line

Galvanized lines shedding rust, or a main that keeps backing up.

$4,500 - $18,000depending on scope

  • Camera and locate first, so the scope is known before the quote
  • Trenchless where the ground and the pipe allow it
  • Water back on each evening, and a written schedule
  • Permit, inspection and the yard put back

What moves the number

  • Whether the pipe is accessible or behind finished wall, slab or under the house
  • Material: copper, PEX and cast iron are different jobs with different lifespans
  • Whether the work triggers a code upgrade on connected fittings
  • Emergency hours versus scheduled work
  • Whether a permit and inspection are required

These are typical regional ranges for 2026, not a quote. Every job is different and the only number that matters is the one you get in writing after somebody has seen it. This is here so you know the scale before you pick up the phone.

Before you call

The questions we get asked most.

How long does a water heater last?

Eight to twelve years for a standard tank, longer with an anode rod that gets changed and sediment flushed. Past twelve, replacement is usually the better spend than a repair.

Tank, tankless, or hybrid?

Tank is cheapest to install and simplest to service. Tankless never runs out and saves space, but needs the gas line and venting to suit. Hybrid heat-pump units cost the least to run and need a warm space with some room around them. The right answer depends on your household's actual hot water pattern.

My drain keeps blocking. Why?

A line that blocks repeatedly in the same place is telling you something structural: roots at a joint, a low spot holding water, or a broken section. Cameraing it costs less than clearing it twice more.

Do I need to repipe the whole house?

Not usually. Galvanized supply lines that are shedding rust or leaking repeatedly are the common case for a full repipe. A single failure in copper or PEX is a repair, not a repipe.

What should I do the moment a pipe bursts?

Shut the main off first, then call. Everyone in the house should know where that valve is and that it turns -- an unused valve seizes, which is worth checking before you need it.
